Fraud and Security

The threat from fraudsters is continually evolving. This page explains how to stay safe and what to do if something doesn't feel right.

Fraud and Security

Fraudsters can contact you by phone, email, text, or post, and they can appear genuine. Always take a moment to pause and check before acting.

Reporting a possible scam

If you think someone has taken money from your account, you've shared your details with a fraudster, or someone may have accessed your account, act immediately:

Contact AlRayan Bank as soon as possible

Email us at: webfraud@alrayanbank.co.uk

Problems with your debit card

If your card is lost, stolen, or used without your permission, contact us straight away:

  • UK: 0800 408 6407 (Mon–Fri, 10am–4pm)
  • Outside the UK: +44 129 889 0137

Fraud and scam concerns

If you receive a message or call claiming to be from us but it doesn't feel right, don't respond or click any links - contact us to check if it's genuine. You can also report it to:

Reporting scams helps protect you and others.

Unrecognised transactions

Some transactions may look unfamiliar but still be genuine. This can happen if a retailer uses a different trading name, you've bought something through a marketplace (like Amazon or eBay), or a subscription or free trial has renewed. If you still don't recognise a transaction, contact us as soon as possible.

What happens after I report fraud?

Once you contact us:

  • We'll review your report and secure your account
  • We may contact you for more information
  • We'll block or replace your card if needed
  • If money has been taken, we'll investigate and keep you updated

If you've also reported the scam to external organisations, they may contact you as well.

How long will it take?

Fraud cases are reviewed as soon as they're reported, and cards are blocked and replaced immediately. Investigations may take longer, depending on the situation.

Quick tips

  • Never share your passwords, PINs, or security codes
  • We will never ask you to move money to a "safe account"
  • Be cautious of urgent or unexpected requests
  • Keep your contact details up to date so we can reach you quickly
