His Excellency Sheikh Hamad Bin Faisal Bin Thani Al Thani is regarded as one of Qatar’s most influential business figures. Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, he has held a number of prominent positions, including the post of Minister of Economy and Commerce of Qatar, and Vice Chairman of Qatar National Bank (QNB).

Other senior positions previously held by His Excellency include Chairman of Qatar General Organization for Standard & Metrology, Member of Qatar’s Supreme Council for Economic Affairs & Investment, Director of Qatar’s Customs Department and Heir Apparent Office, Diwan Al Amiri 

His Excellency is also a very active member of the Qatar business community. In addition to his post as Vice Chairman of Masraf Al Rayan, he holds currently the following key positions: Board Member, Qatari Businessmen Association, Vice Chairman, Qatari Investors Group, Board Member, Qatar Insurance Company (QIC), Board Member, Vodafone Qatar  and Board member, Free Zone Authority
