I joined the Bank in August 2024, as a Senior Compliance Manager and my role is to ensure that the Bank remains aligned with its regulatory obligations. It’s a very varied, busy and rewarding role that certainly keeps me on my toes!
Having worked in the financial industry for more than 13 years, I had the opportunity to work in various roles that included complaint handling, management, mentoring and coaching, learning and development, and regulatory compliance. I was able to bring this well-rounded experience to my role at Al Rayan Bank.
The opportunity to move forward in my career was not the only thing that drew me to Al Rayan Bank. I was also impressed by the strong set of values and behaviors, that had been established by employees. After all, it’s one thing for an organisation to talk about values but quite another to see them actively upheld every day.
In fact, I believe that the success of our Bank is closely linked to our incredible culture, and our people who live it. I feel very fortunate to work with my exceptional colleagues. Our team is made up of diverse skills, perspectives and experiences and the way we collaborate to achieve our goals is what really sets us apart.
Beyond work, one of my biggest achievements to date was raising £5,000 with my family during the height of the COVID-19 epidemic. The funds went towards providing ventilators to developing countries – something that we all felt very passionate about. Making a difference, whether in my personal or professional endeavors, is something that really inspires me.
As I continue my journey here, I’m excited to see what’s ahead, contribute to the Bank’s ongoing success, and keep growing – both professionally and personally.
