I first joined Al Rayan Bank as a Know Your Customer (KYC) Analyst, before being given the opportunity to step up as a KYC Team Leader when the Centre of Excellence team was first created.
My career began in Damascus, Syria, in 2003, where I worked in a range of sectors such as Telecom, Real Estate, Financial Services, and took roles spanning data analytics, financial modelling, relationship management, and portfolio management.
I joined as a part time Contact Centre Agent, then as a Customer Service and Sales Advisor, supporting relationship management and networking with customers. I then took an opportunity to move to the Direct Sales team full time, which is where I work now as a Direct Sales specialist.
What initially attracted me to work at Al Rayan Bank, was the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in areas beyond my specific role; to deal with multiple departments including senior management; and have ample scope to add value and influence decision making.
