We regularly review the accounts, products, and services that we offer to our customers in line with market activity, regulation, Sharia principles, and customer demand.
As a Bank with strong customer values, we do not wish to provide our customers with banking products that they no longer require or use. Following a recent review, we have identified a number of Current Accounts that are inactive and therefore these have been blocked as a security measure. The funds for these accounts will be placed on hold.
Any Debit Card or Cheque book that may remain for these accounts will be deactivated and we will no longer be able to honour any standing orders or Direct Debits.

You can reclaim your balance at any time in the future. You can do this in the following ways:
Balances between £0.01 and £10.00
Please email^ us at fundsreturn@alrayanbank.co.uk confirming the account name, sort code and account number of where you want the balance sent to. We will then endeavour to process your request within 60 days. Please note that you will not receive an account closure certificate.
Balances between £10.01 and £250.00
Please email^ us at fundsreturn@alrayanbank.co.uk confirming the account name, sort code and account number of where you want the balance sent to. You must also attach a copy of your passport or driving licence which does not need to be certified. We will then endeavour to process your request within 60 days. Please note that you will not receive an account closure certificate.
Balances over £250.00
You’ll need to provide proof of identity and proof of address. Further details can be found at https://www.alrayanbank.co.uk/dormant-accounts.
Please note: We will only transfer funds out to an account in your name.
