The Customer Panel Terms and Conditions

The Panel will consist of a cross section of customers who agree on a voluntary basis to provide feedback about Al Rayan Bank and its products, propositions, and services.

Customer Panel terms

Qualifying Criteria

To be able to join the Panel you must:

  • be a current Al Rayan Bank customer
  • be at least 16 years old
  • provide us with a valid email address for us to correspond with you about the online surveys.

To join the Panel, you will need to complete the application form, which we will make available to you.



Please note that by completing and submitting the application form, you will have been deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.



You can leave the Panel at any time by emailing us at Customer.Panel@alrayanbank.co.uk stating your intention to leave.

We will remove you from the panel if:

  • we receive an email from you stating your intent to leave
  • you cease to be a customer with Al Rayan Bank
  • we believe the email address you have supplied us is no longer valid
  • Unless you leave or we remove you, membership of the Panel will continue on an on-going basis.

How the Panel will work

From time to time, you will be invited by email to take part in Al Rayan Bank’s research activities.



We will normally send a survey to your registered email address. However, from time to time and if you agree you may be invited by email to take part in other research through other channels such as by telephone or in person at a branch (subject to any appropriate social distancing and other protective measures required or relevant at that time).



You will not necessarily be invited to take part in every research activity as it depends on the relevance of the research to you.



You will not be contacted more than once a month to take part in research.

Participation is voluntary - so even if we send a survey to you, or if we ask you to participate through another channel, you can choose whether or not you take part in the research.



From time to time, we will provide details on the outcome of our research through our website or in our public newsletter. If you would like to register for our newsletter you can do so at /customer-panel. However, we will not email you directly with any of the results of our research and in some cases, we will not provide the outcome of our research in any form.

Your personal data

By agreeing to join the Panel you agree that Al Rayan Bank can use the results of research exercises to assist and improve the development of its products, services and to inform its decision making.



We will only use any information you provide about yourself for the purposes of research only, and not for sales and marketing.



We will store securely your personal details and responses in line with meeting our GDPR obligations



Your responses will never be reported with anything that could identify you, save with your prior consent.



All responses, feedback or suggestions you provide will remain anonymous, unless you choose otherwise.



Personal data and any information provided during research will be processed in accordance with either or both of any applicable EU and UK data protection laws and regulations.

Prize Draw

In some cases, we may incentivise response to our research requests by offering a prize draw.

If we offer a prize draw, the prize draw will be subject to the following Conditions:

  • Only customers who are registered for the Panel will be able to participate in the prize draw.
  • To be entered into a prize draw at the end of each research request, you must fully complete our reasonable requirements under that research request, the detail of which will be provided at the time of the research taking place.
  • Only one entry into the prize draw per person is permitted.
  • Employees of Al Rayan Bank (and their immediate families) and anyone professionally connected with the Bank or the promotion are not eligible.
  • The draw will take place at the Bank’s discretion.
  • The prize winner will be drawn at random by a supervised individual.
  • The decision of the Bank’s supervised individual is final and conclusive in all circumstances (including those unforeseen by these terms) and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable, non-refundable, and cannot be upgraded or assigned to another person.
  • Prizes will not be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.
  • You do not have to enter the prize draw to take part in the research.
  • By completing and submitting an application form to be on the Panel, you will be deemed to have accepted these prize draw conditions.
  • You can opt-out of the prize draw at any time by requesting to do so via emailing customerpanel@alrayanbank.co.uk.
