Lord Mayor of Manchester celebrates ‘Pakistan Day’ at Islamic Bank of Britain
Islamic Bank of Britain plc (IBB), (www.islamic-bank.com) last week welcomed the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Naeem ul Hassan, to its Manchester branch located at 601 Stockport Road, Manchester, M13 0RX.
Councillor Hassan visited the IBB branch as part of celebrations that were taking place in the local area for Pakistan Independence day. He was joined by several, prominent local business people and councillors, including Councillor Afzal Khan, who was Manchester's first Asian Lord Mayor in 2005 - 2006.
Commenting on his visit, Councillor Hassan said, “Islamic Bank of Britain has been operating in Manchester since 2006 and it was interesting to see the unique way they have helped local residents through community-based work and the recognition of peoples’ faith and beliefs.”
